New Agency

I have to say that I really like our new agency. I was very skeptical, coming from where we came from. But I have to say once again...it is like a breath of fresh air..... Yet at times it's also completely surreal.

Our new agency is small and so it naturally seems more personal. The director is quite accessible and has excellent communication skills. She always takes our calls, and is on the ball. She understands a lot about adoption first hand. Seriously she "gets it", the ups and downs and difficulties. I never feel like she doesn't have time for us....

One thing I have to laugh about is the paperwork. With our old agency, I swear if you just looked at a document wrong it would have to be re-done. I felt stressed if something wasn't perfectly filled in. This is not so with our new agency. I can't tell you how much more laid back they are. . I'm not jumping through a dozen hoops... and the paperwork is definitely more streamlined. It's weird and I don't get it. Wouldn't Russia require the same things? I'm not even typing in my own documents. About half of them come to me fully prepared to print and sign. How easy is that? If we didn't have to re-do our entire homestudy.... our dossier would have been finished by now. It boggles the mind.
